UFCW Canada – BDM Scholarship winner Hannah Fowler – UFCW 1288P
Quispamsis, New Brunswick – November 28, 2019 – Hannah Fowler is one of eighteen winners of the 2019 UFCW Canada – BDM Scholarship. Each year UFCW Canada offers 18 UFCW Canada – BDM Scholarships worth $1,000 each to active members and their family members for post-secondary study.
Hannah is a first-year nursing student at the University of Moncton, and is also a proud UFCW Canada Local 1288P member working in food services at the Embassy Hall seniors’ home in Quispamsis, New Brunswick.
“Being one of the recipients of the UFCW Canada – BDM Scholarship means a great deal to me. Having extra financial support will help become the nurse I plan to be,” says Hannah. “My goal is to become a nurse practitioner in the neonatal field at the Saint John regional hospital. Thank you to UFCW Canada for supporting my education and helping me get to where I need to be.”
The UFCW Canada – BDM Scholarship offers a total of $18,000 in scholarships to UFCW Canada members and their families and is one of more than 25 union scholarships available to members and their families every year, totaling more than $300,000.
The deadline to apply for the BDM Scholarship for 2019 is September 30.
