Halifax – September 6, 2022 – UFCW Canada activists in Atlantic Canada celebrated solidarity and resilience with the return of in-person Labour Day festivities for the first time in three years.

In Atlantic Canada, UFCW Canada activists gathered with family members and community allies marked the celebration at a number of community events, including Labour Day parades and picnics in Halifax, St. John's, Charlottetown, Moncton and Fredericton.

In communities large and small, union activists lived up to the spirit of labour day across the country by coming together in display of the strength and resilience that makes the labour movement a powerful force for change in society.

Labour Day continues to be a renewed call to action for a secure future where all workers benefit from shared prosperity and equal opportunity.
