UFCW EPC stands with PSAC in fight for fair union contract

UFCW EPC stands with PSAC in fight for fair union contractCharlottetown, P.E.I. – April 20, 2023 – UFCW EPC stands in solidarity with PSAC members on strike to secure a fair collective agreement after a year of stalled negotiations and impasse bargaining.

Over 155,000 federal public servants took to the picket-line in a defiant move to get the Treasury Board of Canada to negotiate a fair collective agreement that reflects the surging costs of living and dedicated service performed by PSAC members throughout a trying pandemic.

UFCW EPC stands in solidarity with these courageous public servants who are drawing a line in the sand when it comes to bargaining during soaring inflation. While corporations profit from rising prices and an increased cost of living, workers are being asked to tighten their belts and endure flat or diminished wage adjustments.

The fight for fairness among federal public servants is the same fight EPC members are having across the Atlantic and our solidarity is more important than ever.

UFCW Canada EPC proudly serves thousands of union members working in various sectors across Atlantic Canada.
