EPC Stewards gather in Moncton for spring training course

Moncton, N.B. –  April 11 and 12, 2024 – UFCW Local 1288P recently held a Stewards Training course on April 11-12.

Held at the Moncton UFCW Eastern Provinces Council office, the stewards at the training were eager to learn the fundamentals of being shop stewards. Topics covered included the role of a shop steward in a unionized workplace; a steward’s legal rights and responsibilities; how to conduct investigations; how to file and argue grievances; and how to get coworkers involved in the union through organizing conversations.
