Members of UFCW Eastern Provinces Council Local 1252 at the Town of New Wes Valley have ratified a new three-year collective agreement bringing in great financial gains.
The agreement brings in an 11 per cent wage increase across the span of the contract, including 4 per cent in year one retroactive to January 2025.
Other highlights include a bump in clothing allowance to $500 and a boost in shift premiums to $1.25 in the evenings and $3 on weekends.
There were also improvements made to language surrounding layoff notice and unused vacation carryover entitlement.
