UFCW Eastern Provinces Council Local 864 is thrilled to welcome 19 new members from the Membertou Band Council Public Works Department in Membertou, Nova Scotia.
Members include heavy equipment operators, mechanics, and traffic control workers.
An automatic certification notice was put through on Nov. 3 following a successful organizing drive.
Workers are seeking increased wages, job security, and health benefits.
