UFCW Eastern Provinces Council is thrilled to welcome 91 new members to Local 864 in Halifax as First Defence Security joins UFCW Canada.
A vote for certification was held in mid-November where members voted 88 per cent in favour of joining the union.
Among top asks, employees working as security guards are searching for increased job security, respect and dignity and overall greater fair treatment.
