At UFCW Eastern Provinces Council, we celebrate big gains in contracts.
This is the sentiment currently being shared by Local 1252 members at Pippy Park in St. John's as they just signed a new three-year agreement.
The contract will being in mass wage increases including 7.5 per cent in year one, and 3 per cent in years two and three.
Members will also see money in their pockets right away with a $200 signing bonus.
In addition, Truth and Reconciliation Day was also added to the list of holidays.
Finally, all members have now been given the choice of vacation accrual or time off each golf season depending on months of service.
These changes not only give members more money, but the ability to take time off to spend it how they please.
Join us in congratulating these workers!
